Dental Bridges

Have you lost a tooth to an accident or decay? You don’t have to live with the gap or wait to need dentures. The bridge holds the replacement tooth so it can be supported by your remaining natural teeth on either side.

Also called a “fixed bridge” or a “fixed partial denture,” a dental bridge can replace more than one missing tooth as long as you have healthy adjacent teeth to support the artificial ones.

The Steps to Making Your Dental Bridge

To help ensure the teeth surrounding your lost tooth remain in line and healthy the process for a dental bridge includes:

  • Preparing the teeth on each side of the missing tooth for crowns.

  • Custom fabrication of your false tooth and crowns in a dental lab.

  • The dentist placing the artificial tooth, the bridge and then the new crowns to hold the replacement tooth firmly in place.
